Videx DK4K-1S Audiokit Intercom With Keypad

The Videx DK4K 1S Audiokit combines intercom communication with keypad access control in a single unit. Visitors can buzz using the intercom, while authorised users can enter using a secure PIN code. This creates a convenient and controlled way to manage access.

The kit includes a one button entrance panel with keypad, an internal Smart Line handset, and a power supply. Together, they allow building occupants to speak with visitors, verify who is outside, and release the door when required.

Videx 4K Audiokit with Codelock Keypad

This intercom panel forms part of the Videx 4000 series and combines the audio speaker module with a keypad. Keypad illumination improves visibility in low light, making it easier to use at external doors or entrances used in the evening.

The kit includes one Smart Line handset. The system supports up to three handsets per call button. Additional 3011A handsets are available separately. Installing extra units can make answering calls more convenient in larger properties, for example, by placing handsets on different floors of a home or in multiple areas of a workplace.

Audio Intercom And Keypad Access In One System

This Videx audio intercom allows facilities to manage both visitors and authorised users through the same system. Visitors press the call button to contact the internal handset. The occupant can speak with the visitor and choose whether to release the door using the handset or attend the entrance in person.

The keypad provides another way to enter. Authorised users can unlock the door using a PIN code, removing the need to call inside each time they arrive. This works well for staff, residents, or regular users who require convenient access.

The keypad supports two programmable access codes and includes two relay outputs. This allows integration with electronic locks or additional access control devices when putting together a wider door security system.

Videx also offer standalone keypads like the 8901/S if you already have an intercom system in place and need to add access control to your door.

Videx Keypad Intercom For Homes, Workplaces And Secure Facilities

The Videx DK4K-1S is well suited to buildings where access needs to be controlled but still convenient for authorised users. The one button entrance panel works particularly well where a single household, organisation, or reception point manages the door.

This type of intercom and keypad system is commonly installed at residential properties, offices where staff require coded entry, and workplaces that want visitors to request access before entering. It is also frequently used in nurseries, schools, healthcare environments, care homes, and smaller commercial premises where screening visitors helps maintain a safe environment.

The integrated keypad allows authorised users to enter using a code, while visitors can still call through to the handset. If you do not need the keypad, the Videx 4K-1S intercom system is also available.

Choose the Right Videx Intercom System for Your Building

Where more call points are required, other Videx 4000 series entrance panels are available with additional call buttons or capacity for more user codes. These are commonly used in blocks of flats or shared offices where visitors need to contact a specific occupant.

If visual verification is preferred, a Videx video intercom system can be installed so occupants can see visitors before unlocking the door.

For higher security environments, a door lock interface module can be added to create a door interlock system. This connects two doors, so only one can be unlocked at a time. It helps prevent unauthorised access beyond reception areas and reduces the risk of vulnerable occupants leaving unnoticed. Door traffic lights can also be used for a clear visual indication of when a door can be opened, helping users understand when it is safe to enter or exit the interlocked area.

If you are planning a more advanced intercom or access control setup, our technical team can help you find the right system.

Can additional handsets be added to the Videx DK4K-1S intercom?
