Based in Walsall in the West Midlands, Strand has a wide range of window and door hardware in various finishes.  Their Strand Duoflex, Lokkit stays, and friction door stays are three of the most popular areas with our customers.

The Duoflex products are proudly Made In Britain and are suitable for flush timber, aluminium, PVC-U, or steel framed top hung, opening out casements. Accessories are available to enable these window openers to suit casements up to 1500mm wide and are operable by a pole for high level windows.

Door friction stays are available for mortice installation into the head of the door for a discreet solution. Door limiting stays restrict the degree of opening to prevent doors from damaging walls. There are also surface mounted door stays which are the ideal choice for retrofit installation. Finger Protection Devices

Strand is the sole UK distributor of the German-made Athmer range of finger protection devices.  The range of door finger guards starts with the FP100, designed to cover small gaps in side-hung doors. The FP200 finger guard is the best-selling model which is available in three finishes and two sizes as standard, with other lengths and finishes made as special orders.

The range tops out with the FP800 finger guard which is designed for installation on external doors that are subject to ‘wet’ deep cleaning. This model suits the majority of single action doors, double action doors, and also automatic doors, making this a very versatile roller-style finger protector. As with their other product ranges, fitting instructions and certification are available on the Strand website.

Anti Panic Emergency Hardware

Assembled in the UK from components designed and made in Italy, the Strand panic hardware range includes push bars and touch bars that are successfully tested to BS EN 1125. Plus, they produce a selection of emergency exit push pads that are successfully tested to BS EN 179.
