Flexible Mounting Options for Exit Route Signs
This emergency blade light supports both wall and ceiling mounting straight out of the box. Ceiling mounting allows the legend to be seen from both directions, making it ideal for central positioning along escape routes. However, when mounted flush to a wall only one face of the sign is visible.
To increase installation flexibility, three mounting kits are available to order separately: flag, recessed, and hanging. The flag kit solves the limitation of flat wall mounting by allowing the sign to project outwards at a 90° angle, preserving the visibility from both sides.
These accessory kits let you position the illuminated exit sign to suit your building layout. Selecting the right mounting method ensures clear escape route signage throughout your building.
Installation instructions with clear diagrams are provided in the box, and a downloadable PDF is available in the product documents section.
Manual Emergency Light Testing Explained
Emergency lights should be tested regularly to identify faults and ensure the system remains compliant.
This LED exit sign is a manual test model. To complete a test, mains power must be isolated, the unit left operating for the full 3 hour battery duration, and then visually checked to confirm it remained illuminated. This hands-on process can place a greater demand on maintenance time, so it’s often better suited to smaller sites.
A self test model is also available, which runs its own tests using an internal timer. However, even self test lights still require a visual check to monitor for any fault indicators. This option is ideal for larger sites or where regular testing needs to be managed more efficiently.
Directional Legends for Your Illuminated Exit Sign
This LED emergency exit sign helps guide building occupants safely during evacuation by illuminating the designated escape route. The included upward arrow legend, visible on both sides, ensures clarity from either direction.
If your layout requires a downward or sideways indication, alternative legends are available separately. These can be easily swapped out by following the included installation guide.
We also stock fire exit signage, including photoluminescent directional signs and keep clear signs for final fire escape doors.
Choose Maintained or Non-Maintained Emergency Lighting
This model can be configured during installation as either a maintained or non-maintained illuminated exit sign. Maintained mode keeps the sign illuminated at all times, making it ideal for public venues such as leisure centres, cinemas, or theatres.
In non-maintained mode, it activates only when the mains power fails, making it perfect for non-public areas where a continuously lit sign isn't required.
Emergency Lighting for Building Safety
This LED exit sign offers reliable performance, flexible installation, and long lasting operation. With its flexible settings and wide range of accessories, it is easy to adapt for different applications across your site.
For dependable escape route lighting, this illuminated fire exit sign is a smart, compact solution that keeps safety front and centre.
