For added protection against vandalism and attack, the K2100 lock has a slipping clutch mechanism.
Free Exit and Passage Mode
The K2100 Keylex provides free egress from the inside at all times, supporting safe exit and emergency escape.
When unrestricted access is needed, the free passage function can be set and then easily turned off to return to secure, coded entry.
Keylex 2100 Code Change
To change the code for the Keylex K2100, the lock body needs to be removed from the door. This process requires a screwdriver and ensures that only authorised personnel can alter entry codes.
The steps include:
- Remove the K2100 by unscrewing the five fixing screws.
- Place the lock face down and press the reset button.
- Remove the back plate carefully, following the manufacturer’s guidance.
- Reset the hooks to a neutral position.
- Select your new code by reinserting the chosen hooks at 180°.
- Reassemble the lock body, ensuring all parts are aligned.
- Test the buttons and confirm smooth operation before reinstalling.
Important Note: always test the new code with the door ajar before closing to avoid accidental lockouts.
