Keylex 800: Medium Security for Busy Doorways

Engineered for many hundreds of operations per day, this lock is suited to medium security applications such as offices, stockrooms, staff areas, and service doors. Its stainless steel buttons resist visible wear, protecting code secrecy, while the slipping clutch mechanism shields the internal lock components from forced attack. 

If your door is low security, then the Keylex K500L may be more appropriate. For higher security requirements, the Keylex K2100K  heavy-duty model with knob operation provides increased protection for demanding environments.

Keylex K800 Digital Lock: Installation and Door Suitability

The K800L digital lock is supplied with a 60mm backset latch and an installation template. Its non-handed design means it can be adapted on site to fit both left and right hung doors.

This Keylex digital lock is designed for timber and composite doors. It is supplied with a standard fixing pack for doors up to 45mm thick. Extended fixing kits are available for thicker doors if needed so contact our team to enquire.

Flexible Access Options with the Keylex K800L

The Keylex K800L supports daily use by multiple authorised users using the same code. Codes of three to six digits are recommended by Keylex, but it can support up to 12-digit codes if required. 

The scramble feature allows digits to be entered in any order, reducing delays caused by input errors.

How to Set and Change the Code on a Keylex K800L

The procedure for changing codes requires the removal of the lock body from the door and a slotted screwdriver to adjust the buttons. 

Each button is marked with a line at right angles to the screwdriver slot, with corresponding marks on the back plate. Rotating a button aligns the marks, which sets that button as part of the new code.

Using the Keylex K800L Passage Function

The inside backplate contains a turn control that engages the passage function. This allows the door to be opened without code entry, making it useful during high traffic periods or when receiving deliveries. Resetting the control returns the lock to coded entry mode.
