Standalone Maglock Kit | Access Control Systems | Touch Free
The 12v DC Standalone Single Door Maglock Touch Free Access Control Kit includes:
- 1 x 12v DC 1 amp power supply unit (PSU)
- 1 x ML600 electromagnetic lock
- 1 x Hands free exit button
- 1 x Emergency break glass unit – single pole
- 1 x APX18 standalone proximity reader
- 5 x Proximity key fobs for APX access control proximity reader
The fire rated version of this hands free kit is suitable for installation on FD30 and FD60 fire doors and includes the compliant surface armature housing (ML600AS) for the magnetic lock.
The electric locking component is the RGL ML600 single door maglock, unmonitored model, 12/24V DC, which has a 300kg holding force. This mini maglock power supply is a 12V DC 1 amp PSU, which has suitable back up batteries available that are sold separately.
Door locks with keypad entry are often fitted with other commonly used access control products such as break glass units and press to exit buttons. We have paired the IP66 proximity fob reader in this door access control kit with a no touch push to exit button. Controlled access is provided by the prox reader on the external side of the door, then internally, it is manual egress by activating the no touch push to exit button.
This new kit has been created to incorporate the standalone APX-18 proximity card reader, which is also activated by fobs, working in conjunction with a touchless exit button, making this kit completely hands free in operation. Touchless interaction is only with the access control components, the door may still need to be opened manually by lever handle or pull handle, depending on what other door hardware is fitted.
