Selecting the Correct Amperage for Your System

Always ensure the power supply’s output current meets the total demand of your access control components. Selecting the correct amperage is essential. 

Rule of Thumb for standalone systems:

• A single maglock typically requires a 1 amp power supply.
• A double maglock generally requires a 2 amp PSU.

Reliable, Adjustable Power with Battery Backup Support

The RGL 12V DC power supply unit delivers consistent, efficient power for access control systems and supports battery backup to maintain door security during power outages. Preset to 13.8V DC for trickle charging, the output can be adjusted to 12V DC if no battery is used, offering flexibility for a range of installation requirements.
