Assa Abloy 351M80 Motor Lock for Controlled Access and Fire Door Compliance

The ABLOY 351M80 is a fail safe electric motor lock designed for high performance locking on single or double swing doors. It can be installed horizontally or vertically, concealed in either the door leaf or frame.

This Assa Abloy electric lock offers quiet motor driven operation, unlocks under high preload pressure, and includes built-in monitoring contacts. It’s well suited for commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and other controlled access environments, especially where fire safety and compliance are essential.

Assa Abloy eff eff 351M80: Product Update (Effective April 2025)

The 351M80 from Assa Abloy has been updated to feature a milled solid steel housing (previously laser-welded), enhancing strength and dimensional accuracy. The sensor system and internal magnets have also been improved.

While external dimensions and mounting hole positions remain unchanged, please note the following when using for repair or replacement:

• 351M units from April 2025 onwards must not be used with older counterparts (pre-April 2025).
• The counterpart must be replaced when updating an existing 351M installation.
• New 351M units are not compatible with surface mounted housing A08 and A09 brackets produced before April 2025. In these cases, both the mounting bracket and counterpart must be replaced.

Quiet Electric Motor Lock for Access Controlled Doors

351M80 ABLOY Lock for Fire Doors

When fitted with the correct intumescent materials, the 351M80 can be used on FD30 and FD60 fire doors as it has been tested to BS 476. Always check the fire test evidence for your specific door to confirm compliance.

The intumescent kit for the 351 electric lock is included when you select the fire rated option from the drop down menu. It is also available to purchase as a separate item.
