The dormakaba SL30DBL Electronic Lock

The SL30DBL is a heavy duty motor lock with a 1,000kg holding force, 12-24V DC operating voltage, and tested to BS EN 14846 making it well suited to high traffic double action doors. 

This motorised lock has a unique design that overcomes two common problems electric door locks face: door misalignment and sideload. 

Separate intumescent kits are available that are suitable for 30 minute or 60 minute rated fire doors. 

The low power consumption, with standby currents of less than 50mA, also ensures energy efficiency.

Overcoming Common Problems: Misalignment and Sideload

This motorised door lock’s unique design features two motors that independently control two locking pins, providing added strength and ensuring security even if the door has not been closed in the correct position. It senses the direction the door is closing from, activating one pin to pull the door into alignment before the second pin locks it. This lock can overcome up to 8mm of misalignment in either direction, solving issues caused by building movement or wear and tear.

Additionally, the SL30 DBL unlocks instantly when triggered, even under pre-loads exceeding 100kg.
