ABLOY EL402 Solenoid Lock 12/24V DC
The Abloy EL402 Solenoid Lock 12/24V DC is fail safe, so when power is cut to the lockcase it will unlock, allowing for free egress through the door. This electric solenoid lock also has adjustable backset and is non-handed.

This electric lock can be controlled by various items of access control, including keypads, timers, or a card reader. The EL402 can be connected to swing door operators, is suitable for frame mounting above a door, and can be installed on swinging doors due to its unique symmetrical trigger bolt.
This lock can always be opened by a push pad, key, or thumbturn. When the door closes, the lock automatically deadlocks, but when activated, there is an immediate release of the deadlocking.
The EL402 has the following features:
- 12/24V DC operating voltage
- Fail safe (fail unlocked)
- 14.5mm bolt throw
- Adjustable backset: 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 33mm, and 35mm
- Meets the Requirements of EN179 when fitted with a CY080 cylinder
- 25mm wide forend
- Non-handed symmetrical trigger bolt
- Double action bolt for push/pull door operation
- Suitable for narrow stile doors
Supplied with: lockcase, EA307 strike plate, connection plugs, and fixing screws.
Not suitable for use on fire rated doors.
