A door stop should be installed alongside the backcheck feature to provide additional protection and prevent damage to the door and surrounding surfaces.

The closer’s all-weather hydraulic fluid maintains reliable performance across temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for both internal doors and external exit points.

LCN 1461 Fire Door Closer

Tested to BS EN 1634-1:2014, the LCN 1461 closer is suitable for timber fire doors rated up to 120 minutes of protection. It also meets BS EN 1154 for controlled door closing devices and carries both CE and UKCA markings, providing compliance with UK fire safety standards.

It’s important to adjust the door closer to the EN power sizes in line with BS EN 1154, the relevant British Standard, as ANSI power sizes do not apply for UK installations. Always check the fire test evidence for your door, as using non-compatible ironmongery can invalidate certification and result in non-compliance.
