Geofire Doormouse Electromagnetic Fire Door Holder
The Geofire electromagnetic fire door holders are designed to hold open fire doors in any areas where easy access is essential. They can be used in conjunction with any suitable fire alarm systems.
When the fire alarm is triggered, the power to the Geofire door holder is cut. This allows the fire door fitted with its standard closing mechanism to shut automatically. Choose from the Geofire 24V fire door retainer or 230V AC model to suit your project.

Accessories for the Geofire Doormouse
The Doormouse door magnet is supplied with an adjustable keeper plate. It has 30° adjustment and an overall projection of 30mm. A low profile armature plate is available as a special order, which has a 15° adjustment.
When installing a door holder where the fire door is positioned towards the centre of a wall, a chain keeper plate is available. This extends the reach between the door magnet and the armature plate.
Door Magnet Installation
To avoid inflicting twisting forces on the door leaf, the electromagnetic door holder should be fitted in the same horizontal plane as the fire door closer. Failure to do so can result in the door leaf twisting, preventing it from closing properly once released.
As standard, the Doormouse retainer is suitable for surface mounting to a wall. A floor mounting bracket is available where wall mounting is not possible. As electromagnetic door holders are typically installed in busy environments, be aware that when installed on the floor, they don’t create a trip hazard
This hard-wired unit has back cable entry or cable entry points for surface mounting MICC or conduit. You can watch our video on how to install by selecting the videos tab. Please note that 230V AC models must be earthed.
