The GEZE Slimchain chain drive is a compact and adaptable window actuator, designed for natural ventilation and certified smoke and heat extraction (SHEV) systems. The Slimchain delivers reliable operation for both daily ventilation and critical life safety applications.
The GEZE Slimchain 24V is available with a 300mm or 500mm stroke length and is DIN handed as left or right, based on the chain side view.

The GEZE Slimchain is part of the IQ windowdrive range, combining mechanical strength with intelligent electronic control. It supports both ventilation and smoke extraction operations, with individual speed profiles tailored for each function.
The built-in DIP switch system allows installers to easily configure the unit for solo or synchronised operation. This makes it particularly suited for multi-window configurations in schools, offices, residential blocks, and healthcare settings.
For smoke ventilation compliance, the Slimchain window opener is tested to EN 12101-2, ensuring performance in emergency evacuation scenarios. The SHEV system is activated externally via a signal from the building’s fire alarm system. Activation is typically achieved using a volt-free normally open/common (NO/C) contact from a dedicated fire alarm interface or the auxiliary output of the fire panel. When the fire alarm is triggered, this contact closes to initiate the SHEV sequence.
The GEZE Slimchain features a compact, discreet profile making it ideal for applications where minimal visual impact is essential, such as curtain walls, atriums, and public facing façades. Supplied in silver as standard it complements both modern designs.

Stroke length determines the maximum opening angle, which is essential for both natural ventilation performance and compliance with smoke ventilation regulations.
