Electric Strike with Adjustable Jaw for Flexible Alignment

The GAEIR-24 is engineered with an adjustable jaw mechanism that directly addresses one of the most critical aspects of any access control setup: reliable electric locking. A door must not only lock securely, but it must also unlock when the system demands it. Resistance, side pressure, or misalignment between the latch and strike can cause an electric release to bind, leading to failed opening attempts, callbacks, and frustrated users.

This is where the GAEIR-24’s adjustable jaw makes a real difference. By allowing adjustment during installation, the strike can be aligned with the latch to help prevent side load conditions that often prevent an electric lock from releasing cleanly. Even small adjustments ensure the jaw seats the latch correctly, reducing door bounce, misalignment, and the risk of the door failing to unlock under pressure which is a common issue in busy communal areas, residential blocks, and commercial entrances.

For larger misalignment issues, the ES8100 electric lock is a strong alternative. It handles up to 12mm of misalignment as its V-shaped strike plate guides the bolt to pull the door into line as it locks.

Electric Strike for Residential and Commercial Entry Points

This strike can be used in a variety of access control and video intercom systems. It is ideal for use in small blocks of flats, multi-tenant buildings, or commercial sites. The fail safe function ensures the door unlocks when there is no power. To maintain security during power outages, consider adding a battery backup to your power supply, if compatible, for uninterrupted operation.

For applications where the door must remain locked when there is no power, consider a fail secure option, such as the 12V DC electric strike from the same series, available in both fail safe and fail secure configurations. Why Choose the GAEIR-24 Electric Strike

The GAEIR-24 is manufactured from powder coated steel and has been tested to withstand over 300,000 operations, making it a reliable and durable choice for everyday access control. It includes built-in surge protection to help safeguard your access control system from electrical damage.

If you need a dependable 24V DC electric release that delivers long term value, the GAEIR-24 is a strong option. However, if you need help choosing the best electric locking solution for your project, our technical team are available to provide expert advice.

Fail safe VS fail secure - what's the difference?
Fail safe electric locks will be unlocked when the power is cut to them, allowing for the free flow of foot traffic. Fail secure locks remain locked/secured when the power is cut to them. The door remains locked until power is restored.
