A Flexible Access Control Keypad
The WL-KP35 wireless keypad provides a practical solution for access control installations where cabling isn't viable. This is particularly useful for external entrances, gates, or locations where the door controller or PSU is installed at a distance from the access point. The keypad communicates with the REC-35 receiver, sold separately, via a secure rolling code, minimising the risk of code copying or interference. The REC-35 receiver can be installed inside the power supply unit if the signal range allows, streamlining the setup process.
The keypad is powered by a CR2450 battery and transmits wirelessly, so there's no need to run cables to the keypad’s location. This makes it well-suited for retrofit applications, external installations, and projects where maintaining a clean finish is important.
Its maximum transmission range is 100 metres in line-of-sight conditions, though this may reduce to 35 metres or less in environments with significant obstructions such as walls or metal cladding. The receiver can be located within the power supply enclosure or close to the door
If the keypad is positioned away from the door or gate, consider pairing it with a timer relay to allow sufficient time for the user to reach the entrance after entering the code. Options are available with adjustable ranges from 0–15 seconds to 0–999 seconds or even 24-hour timers. Explore our full range of access control relays to find the right solution for your needs.
Wireless Door Access Control Keypad: Built for Reliability
This wireless door keypad offers dependable performance in both internal and external environments, thanks to its IP54 rating. A built-in protective cover shields the keypad from dust and water, helping maintain consistent functionality over time.
A physical key is required to reset or reprogram the access PIN code, offering an added layer of security by preventing unauthorised code changes.
This keypad is ideal for low traffic use, where battery life and cover durability are less likely to be affected by frequent activation. It's best suited to locations such as rear doors, gates, or infrequently accessed entry points.
For higher use areas or systems requiring a large number of user PINs, consider a wired keypad, browse our stocked keypads and proximity readers or contact us for advice.
