The RGL MSL2600 shear lock is designed to provide secure and consistent door locking, with a maximum shear holding force of 1200kg (2600lbs). It is suitable for use on timber and aluminium doors and is well suited to commercial and industrial environments where reliable access control is required.

Shear Lock Operation And Settings
This lock automatically adjusts between 12V and 24V DC so the need to manually select voltage during installation is removed. This simplifies the setup and reduces the risk of errors.
Door position monitoring outputs allow the lock to communicate with the wider access control system, providing status feedback where required. The adjustable door open delay gives control over how long the door remains released after activation, which can help with access flow.
Fire Rated Shear Lock Tested to BS EN 1634-1
The MSL2600 magnetic shear lock has been fire tested to BS EN 1634-1 for use on 30, 60, 90, and 120 minute rated timber and mineral doorsets when installed with the SH2600 surface housing, sold separately.
To comply with fire safety requirements, it must be installed with the SH2600 housing. Always check the fire test evidence for your specific doorset before installation.
