This graphite intumescent fire seal is designed for fire rated doors to seal the gap between the door and frame. In normal conditions, it remains discreet. In a fire, the seal expands to help restrict the spread of flames and hot gases, supporting building compartmentation.
It is 1050mm in length and comes in white or brown finishes, with a choice of widths to suit your fire door rating. A 2100mm length fire door seal is also available.

Graphite Intumescent Seal Expansion
The intumescent seal has an intercalated graphite core. When exposed to high temperatures, it expands up to 10–15 times its original size, sealing the perimeter gap to help slow the spread of fire and hot gases.
They are Certifire Approved and tested to BS 476 Part 22 for fire resistance. Always check the fire test evidence for your specific door to ensure the correct seal is used.
This is a fire only seal and does not provide cold smoke protection. If smoke control is required, combined fire and smoke seals with a brush or double fin are available. For added smoke and acoustic sealing, consider installing a separate perimeter door seal, like the STS 1009.
