This intumescent fire seal is designed for fire rated doors to close the gap between the door and frame. When exposed to high heat, it expands to help slow the spread of flames, supporting compartmentation and protecting escape routes.
It is made from intercalated graphite and is available in white or brown finishes, with width options of 10mm, 15mm, and 20mm.

Intumescent Fire Door Seal Compliance and Installation Guidance
These intumescent fire seals are Certifire Approved (CF846) and tested to BS 476 Part 22 for fire resistance performance.
Selecting the correct seal size is essential to maintain the fire rating of the door. The following is a guide from the manufacturer for typical use:
- 10mm for 30 minute fire doors
- 15mm for 30 or 60 minute fire doors
- 20mm for 60 minute fire doors
Where two seals are required for a 60 minute fire door, they should be positioned so that ironmongery such as hinges, locks, or latches does not fully interrupt either seal.
Always follow the fire door manufacturer’s instructions to confirm the correct seal size, positioning, and overall compatibility.
