Installation Tips

This 2.1m long seal is available either 10mm or 15mm wide, so you can choose the correct size for your door. The 10mm seal is designed for use on 30 minute fire rated doors, while the 15mm option is suitable for doors rated for either 30 or 60 minutes of fire resistance.

The self adhesive backing on this intumescent strip makes installation easy. For best results ensure that the surface is clean and dry before applying the seal.

If you are replacing a damaged strip, it’s recommended to replace all the seals on the door. Mixing different types of intumescent materials could lead to uneven expansion during a fire, causing the door to warp.
