The Exitex intumescent sealant is a fire rated and sound insulating acrylic mastic supplied in 310ml cartridges. A key component in passive fire protection systems, this intumescent acrylic sealant is easy to apply, compatible with most dry construction materials, and delivers long lasting flexibility with resistance to mould and mildew. Designed for use on internal applications, it’s ideal for sealing linear gaps and small penetrations in fire rated walls and floors. 

This fire rated intumescent sealant has been tested to BS 476 and found to provide up to 240 minutes of fire resistance and achieves a 55dB Rw acoustic rating, helping to maintain the integrity of fire compartments and reduce sound transmission through static joints. The dual fire and acoustic capability allows you to meet multiple compliance requirements using a single product.
