If you are replacing an existing Arrow 624 door closer with a newer model, simply cut off the existing plug and use the wires as before. They are not polarity sensitive.

The arrow 624EM is boxed complete with full fitting instructions and all components required to be installed in a hold open or swing free operation on either push or pull side of the door. Once you have carried out a full health check on the door you can begin to install the door closer. To ensure correct positioning of the unit use the enclosed template as a guide to pilot drill holes for both the body and ear bracket. The mounting of the closer body to the door can now be completed quickly and easily. The mounting of the closer body to the door can now be completed quickly and easily. Fit the arm to the unit selecting the swing free or hold open cam dependent on the application required. Adjust the speed and latch action of the closer using the easily accessible adjustments and test the operation of the door. Fit the armoured cable loop on to the frame at approximately the same height as the door closer body. Secure the armoured cable loop to the hole in the cover nearest the frame. Connect the 2 red wires from the junction box to the wires from the coil on the closer, the polarity is not important. Always ensure that the electrical connections are made by a qualified professional. Ensure the test switch is on and check the door holds open or swings free dependant on application, ensure the doors closers in to the frame once the power has been removed.
