  • Low Power Consumption: This electric strike minimises energy consumption while maximising efficiency.
  • Fail Safe/Fail Secure Reversible: Tailor the security settings to your specific needs. Select fail safe or fail secure at the time of installation. Please see the installation instructions below for more information.
  • Dual Faceplates: Supplied with both long and short faceplates. The Alpro EL900 offers versatility for installation on metal or timber doors.

Monitored vs. Unmonitored

Opting for a monitored electric strike provides the advantage of connecting to an external device such as a beacon, sounder, or alarm system. This allows for monitoring whether the latch is engaged or unengaged in the strike.

In contrast, unmonitored electric strikes lack this capability, offering no means to wire in monitoring. Consequently, there is no indication of the strike's locking status, leaving you without insight into its operational condition.

Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure

This ANSI electric strike is fail safe/ fail secure reversible. The most appropriate function for your door should be selected at the time of installation. You can easily change this electric strike to either fail open (PTL or power to lock) or fail secure (PTO or power to open) by changing the position of the screw.

Understanding the difference between fail safe and fail secure is essential for selecting the right function for your door. Fail safe ensures that in the event of a power failure the door unlocks, prioritising safe egress for occupants. Fail secure maintains the door locked during power outages, enhancing security and preventing unauthorised access. When choosing fail safe or secure always consider the balance of security and safe egress.

Access Control for Your Facility

Access control is critical for managing security and regulating entry to your premises. The Alpro EL900 electric strike easily integrates with access control systems, providing enhanced security while allowing authorised personnel convenient entry. The Alpro EL900 offers a reliable solution for access control in various environments.

An electric strike is a type of electric locking product, similar to a maglock or shear lock, which replaces a traditional strike when used with a mortice latch. Whether you are installing a new system or retrofitting this electric strike, please contact us to discuss latch compatibility with our knowledgeable team.

We have a range of access control kits available for your ease. These range from complete kits, which include all items of access control needed for a door, or select a kit without a keypad to allow for customisation. Browse our range of access control keypads to find the right one for your door.

If you require a fire rated electric strike then the AL900 fire rated electric strike is available with an intumescent kit.
