Applique Acoustic Drop Down Seal

The Applique surface drop seal provides a practical way to control gaps at the bottom of timber doors without the need for rebating. Suitable for fire rated doors and acoustic control, it helps improve performance across noise reduction, smoke containment, and general environmental sealing.

The Applique seal activates automatically when the door closes, the internal mechanism lowers the seal to create a tight barrier. When the door opens, the seal retracts fully, leaving a flat, unobstructed threshold.

• Acoustic control up to 37dB Rw helps reduce sound transfer between rooms
• Fire resistance tested to BS 476 Part 20/22 for use on 60 minute timber fire doors
• Smoke sealing tested to BS EN 1634-3 to help restrict smoke movement

Retrofitting and Easy Installation with Applique Drop Down Seal

Surface mounting makes this seal a straightforward option where rebating is not practical. 

Installation is simple:

• Cut the seal to the required door width
• Fix using the pre-fitted screws
• Adjust the drop using the 3mm Allen key in the plunger cap

The amount the seal can be trimmed depends on the starting length. Refer to the downloadable datasheet for exact trimming allowances.
