Espagnolette locks require euro door handles that bolt fix through the multi point lock gearbox, which provides a secure fixing for the levers. Check that the bolt fixing holes on the lock gearbox correspond with those of the range of door furniture, particularly if the handles are being retrofitted to an existing door lock. These ARRONE longplate lever handle sets have colour matched fixings for composite and PVC door installation. We are able to source different styles and finishes of espagnolette levers so contact us for further information.
A multi point locking system for timber doors would also require a euro profile cylinder in order to lock the handles and secure the bolts in place once they have been thrown by lifting the door handles. The thickness of the door handle backplate will have to be factored in when calculating the length of cylinder required.
To calculate the overall length of the cylinder, add the backplate depth to the door thickness e.g. 11mm handles + 44mm door + 11mm handles = 66mm, so a 70mm cylinder would be suitable. Then establish if the lockcase/multi point lock is fitted centrally, as you may require an offset/asymmetric cylinder if the lock is offset within the door thickness. You can find a cylinder measuring guide on page 146 of our product catalogue.
