Briton 1110 SES Door Closer

The Briton 1110 fire door closer is a template adjustable power size EN 2-4 overhead door closer in a silver finish, with a matching arm. It is CE marked, Certifire Approved CF388 and is suitable for installation on fire doors in commercial spaces.

This overhead door closer is suitable for universal installation as this one model can be used on the following door applications:

• Figure 1/61 – For pull side mounting / regular transom mounting
• Figure 66 –For push side mounting (EN 3 only)

Fig. 66 is also known as parallel arm application.

The 1110 is not handed so it can be fitted to left handed or right handed side hung doors. It is supplied with all fixings for standard applications and can be used to close non-fire rated and fire rated doors in medium duty usage areas such as offices.

Briton 1110 Door Closer Adjustment

This rack and pinion overhead door closer has both adjustable closing speed and latch action for a perfect closing action.

The 1110 overhead door closer is adjustable size 2-4, by template. To achieve the fire rating, the closer needs to be installed at a minimum power size EN 3 when fitted to fire rated doors.

• EN2 - Suitable for doors up to 40kg and 850mm wide
• EN3 - Suitable for doors up to 60kg and 950mm wide
• EN4 - Suitable for doors up to 80kg and 1100mm wide

The overall power is based on the template fitting so cannot be adjusted after installation. The adjustable latching action and closing speed allow for precise modifications on site. Once it is fitted, this strong, durable closer can be set to the specifics required of each door and location so it closers easily every time.

The closing speed covers the main arc of closing whilst the latching action controls the speed over the final few degrees of the closing cycle.
