FRONTIER Letter Plate Intumescent

This intumescent kit is compatible with the Rutland FRONTIER letter plate. The FRONTIER is a security letter plate tested to TS008 and available in a choice of four finishes.

When the FRONTIER is installed with this letter plate intumescent kit it is suitable for a 30 minute rated fire door.

The intumescent is self adhesive for convenient and easy installation.

Rutland Letter Plate TS008: Intumescent Solution

The FRONTIER security letter plate with this intumescent kit is ideal for use on front doors in residential flats which are often fire rated. Installing this intumescent kit with the letter plate ensures that these fire doors perform as expected when it matters.

Installation of Intumescent Kit for Letter Plate

One of the key benefits of this intumescent kit is its ease of installation. With its self adhesive backing, it is easy to apply, reducing time on site and minimising disruption. Here’s a guide to installing the kit:

• Place the letter plate internal face down.
• Partially peel back the paper to reveal the adhesive side of the intumescent.
• Line up the intumescent with the ribbed areas at the bottom of the letter plate.
• Carefully press the intumescent into place as you work around the perimeter of the internal face.
• Continue to apply the full length of the intumescent until the entire perimeter is covered, ensuring that three layers protect the ribbed section at the bottom.

This simple process ensures the letter plate is ready for use on a 30 minute fire door.
