When fitted with the appropriate intumescent kit, sold separately, this letter plate is also suitable for 30 minute fire rated doors.

The FRONTIER letter plate is BSI Kitemark to TS008:2022, meaning it has been independently tested by third party certification bodies. It’s also Secured by Design (SBD), an official police initiative that sets the bar for crime prevention through product design.

PAS 24: Enhanced Security Performance

The TS008 letter plate has been included on a successful PAS 24 tested doorset, meaning it’s been evaluated as a critical component for resisting forced entry. 

This test involves several stages, including manipulation, cutting, and impact testing. The PAS 24 standard ensures that the letter plate can withstand a variety of attacks from burglars, making it suitable for residential use or commercial properties.

Please note that PAS 24 certification applies to a complete doorset, meaning the door and all its components are tested as a whole. Therefore, while the TS008 letter plate can assist in compliance, it cannot be PAS 24 approved on its own.

Fire Rated Letter Plate for Extra Protection

When installed with the appropriate intumescent this letter plate is suitable for 30 minute rated fire doors. The intumescent kit is available separately as it is not included with the letter plate.

In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands when exposed to heat, sealing the gap in the door to slow down the spread of flames and smoke. This provides valuable time for occupants of the building to safely evacuate and for the emergency services to arrive.
