The Exidor 302EC Knob Operated Outside Access Device with Euro Cylinder is a knob operated outside exit device that is supplied with 3 keys and a 40mm Euro profile cylinder; which you can take out and substitute for your own master keyed cylinder. The 302EC is suitable for use with the bolts and latches from the Exidor 200 and 300 series and offers external access on the door.
The 302EC is non-handed and fire rated for use on timber and steel doors and is suitable for doors up to 45mm thick.
Please note that longer spindles and screws are available upon request for door thicknesses over 45mm but these would be special order items. Please contact the office should you require this.
How it works:
When locked, the mechanism is disengaged which allows the knob to turn freely. When unlocked, the knob, spindle and mechanism are engaged, which allows the shoots or latches of the panic bolts or latches to be withdrawn from the outside. The knob will remain engaged until the door is relocked again. This product is designed so that in the event of an emergency, the door can be opened from the inside, even if the knob is locked on the outside.
