These lever handles are 2 star rated so to achieve the full 3 star security rating you'll need to install a TS007 euro cylinder with a 1 star rating. The TS007 standard was developed by Secured By Design (SBD), DHF, and the GGF. TS007 3 star euro cylinders carry the top security rating as they have to withstand five different types of attack - bumping, picking, snapping, drilling, and plug extraction.
The Mila Prosecure enhanced security door handles are designed for use with multi point espag door locks. Espagnolette locks require euro door handles that bolt fix through the multi point lock gearbox, which provides a secure fixing for the levers. Check that the bolt fixing holes on the lock gearbox correspond with those of the range of door furniture, particularly if the handles are being retrofitted to an existing door lock. We are able to source different styles and finishes of espagnolette levers so contact us for further information.
A multi point locking system for timber doors would also require a euro profile cylinder, whether it is 1 star or 3 star rated, in order to lock the handles and secure the bolts in place once they have been thrown by lifting the door handles.
The thickness of the door handle backplate will have to be factored in when calculating the length of cylinder required. You will also need to check if the lockcase/multi point lock is fitted centrally within the door thickness, as you may require an offset/asymmetric cylinder if the lock is offset. You can find a cylinder measuring guide on page 146 of our product catalogue.
