Reasons for Replacing a GEZE Cable Loop

The main reasons for fitting a new transfer loop are a damaged, broken, or twisted cable or a faulty test switch.

Installing a Transfer Cable Loop

It’s quick and easy to replace the cable loop and box on the TS 4000 E and EFS model electromagnetic door closers. Make sure that the black terminal box is fitted within easy reach so that facilities staff can perform the weekly tests.

The switch box is positioned between the junction box and door closers. The red positive cable and blue negative cable are connected to the connector box. The brown middle cable connector is only used with the TS 4000 E IS system.

It has built-in sensitivity protection that prevents the unit from being used if it has been wired incorrectly. Ensure that the closer function (hold open or swing free) is tested once the loop has been replaced. Then test weekly as part of your fire door maintenance routine.
