GEZE Intumescent Kit Compatibility

This double-action intumescent kit can be used with the following GEZE products, as outlined in the Certifire Certificate CF 259:

• Type C 006666 pivot hinge
• Type C 007432 bottom strap
• Type B upper pivot 006371

This Certifire approval covers the TS500/550 series of floor springs and transom closers.

For single action doors, install the 133465 intumescent kit instead.

GEZE Pivot Hinges on Fire Rated Doors

To achieve the 30-minute or 60-minute fire rating on ITT and ITM doors, this intumescent kit must be installed. It fully lines the mortices in the top edge and bottom edge of the door, and the frame in ITT applications.

Double action 30-minute fire doors using this pivot system must be a minimum of 44mm thick. On 60-minute doors, they must be 54mm thick.

If the perimeter intumescent seal is installed in the top edge of the door, additional seals are required. Fit two additional 10x2mm Therm-A-Seal seals adjacent to the door mounted top centre position. This will ensure effective sealing and fire door compartmentation.
