Door Lever Handles are used quite simply to open and close a door by retracting a latch in the lock. Sprung handles mean that the handle is fitted with a small spring in the rose or backplate. This spring allows the handle to return to its original position once the operator releases the handle after use. Unsprung handles do not have springs, instead; they use the lock itself to return to its original position.
