Samuel Heath R100 - Perko Door Closer

The Samuel Heath PERKO-POWERMATIC R100 concealed door closer is a CE marked, controlled, concealed hydraulic door closer conforming to BS EN 1154: 1997, making it ideal for many commercial, leisure, public, and domestic fire and non-fire door applications.

Invisible when the door is closed, the R100 Perko Powermatic® concealed door closer offers the ultimate in door control without the need to compromise on the appearance of the door itself or the aesthetics of the finished project.

Opening forces comply with the requirements of Approved Document M for doors of a minimum width of 826mm whilst still conforming to BS EN 1154: 1997 due to the 80% “ultra-efficiency” which exceeds the recommended 65% for fire doors on accessible routes, closer and plates should be bedded in Alfacryl FR Intumescent Acrylic Mastic.

Installing The Perko R100 Door Closer

Please note that the door should have a minimum thickness of 44mm to be suitable for the R100 Powermatic door closer. The critical dimension is the distance between the centre of the hinge knuckle and the centre of the door closer’s face plates located in door and frame. This must be between 25 and 35mm.

The Perko R100 should be used in conjunction with 3 hinges and is not compatible with rising butt hinges.

Concealed Fire Door Closer

The Powermatic R100 is classed as a controlled door closer. This, combined with the successful testing to various fire and safety standards, means it can be installed on a fire rated door.

This power size 3 fire rated door closer can be fitted to both FD30 and FD60 rated fire doors when installed with the appropriate intumescent kit (available separately).

The concealed design of this door closer provides enhanced protection against tampering and vandalism. With the door closed, the closer is completely inaccessible, offering additional security that ensures its functionality remains uncompromised.
